Accessible Chauffeur Services & Accessibility Statement

Luxury travel should be for everyone, and true luxury is service shaped around the person. Harringtons provides accessible chauffeur services with the same standard as every journey we run: vehicles and assistance matched to your needs, chauffeurs trained in patient, dignified support, and planning that removes obstacles before you meet them. Tell us what would make the journey right, and that becomes the plan.

How We Make Journeys Accessible

Bespoke Services

The right vehicle, briefed in advance, low-step access, generous door apertures and boot space for folded wheelchairs and mobility aids in our seven-seat MPVs; assistance transferring to seats always offered, never presumed.

Medical and comfort needs, oxygen concentrators, cushions, temperature preferences, medication stops: noted once on your profile, honoured every journey.

Chauffeurs trained to assist, mobility support, clear communication for hearing- and sight-impaired passengers, and genuine patience: journeys are scheduled with unhurried time built in.

Assistance dogs always welcome. In every vehicle, without exception

Airport assistance coordinated, we align with airline special assistance and can add our own airside escort & porter service so terminal and car journey join seamlessly.

Planning With You, Not For You

Every accessible booking starts with a short conversation, needs, preferences, and what has annoyed you about transport before. That brief follows your profile for all future journeys, so you never re-explain. Family members and carers can book on your behalf; carers travel with you at no extra charge in the same vehicle.

Accessible Tours And Days Out

Our private tours work beautifully for guests with limited mobility: your own schedule, drop-offs at entrances, rests when you choose. Windsor, the Cotswolds and Royal London all adapt gracefully; we pre-check accessibility at attractions and plan step-free routes where required.

Assistance Dogs And The Law

Assistance dogs are welcome in every Harringtons vehicle, without exception and without charge, this is both our standard and our legal duty under the Equality Act 2010. No documentation is required, though telling us at booking helps us prepare the vehicle (a seat cover and water are standing practice).

Website Accessibility Statement

Harringtons of London is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box ticked.

What We've Implemented

Bespoke Services

Keyboard navigation, every interactive element (menus, booking forms, FAQ accordions, galleries) can be reached and operated without a mouse, with visible focus indicators.

Colour and contrast, text and interface elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and no information is conveyed by colour alone.

Forms and errors, booking and contact forms give clear labels, error messages that say what to fix, and no unreasonable time limits.

Screen-reader support, semantic headings in logical order, labelled form fields, ARIA landmarks, and descriptive link text (never bare "click here").

Resizable text, the site remains usable when text is enlarged up to 200% and reflows on zoom without horizontal scrolling.

Consistent structure, navigation, breadcrumbs and page layouts behave the same way across the site.

Alternative text, every meaningful image carries descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.

Motion and animation, animations respect the "reduced motion" preference set in your device, and nothing flashes at seizure-risk rates.

Known Limitations

Some third-party content embedded in this site, such as maps, review widgets and video players, is provided by external services whose accessibility we don't fully control. Where an embedded element is difficult to use, the same information or function is available by contacting us directly.

Alternative Formats And Human Help

If any content on this site is difficult to access, we will gladly provide it in an alternative format (plain text, large print, or read over the phone) and complete any booking with you by telephone or email. Nothing on this website is the only way to reach us.
